I don't think guys should keep anything from their past relationships. Especially in places reachable by the current girlfriend. Or even worst, clothes items that are highly visible to anyone. Just imagine you wearing something your ex girlfriend bought you and got spotted by her or anyone who knows about it while going out with your current girlfriend? That's so demeaning and disrespectful to the current girlfriend.
I know guys don't care about the meaning underlying the gift but girls do.
