Maki San
Gen asked me out for lunch yesterday and we tried Maki San! So glad that she suggested that as I have been dying to try that. Hehe. It's quite good, light and value for money. I will definitely go back there on my own or with Huihui for lunch after school :) Apparently, there's discount for SMU student if you order the big Maki...
I love little impromptu meet ups like this, just catching up about our lives and talking about our future. Don't really take much pictures during this kind of meeting as we are often too busy talking. Hehe. Gen is going to Canada for exchange and I am going to Lisbon. Her semester in Montreal will end in Dec, which allows her to travel after that. && with her 7 fellow exchange mates, they have already started planning a trip before that, so in total she will be away for 6 months. For me? Well... I wish I can do that too but I am alone. I'll most likely only be abroad no more than 5 months. Boyfriend's parents kinda make me wary about the place recommended by the senior too since she went there two years ago and a lot has changed since then and people are more desperate? To be honest, I am really very worried about my own well-being too:( I really hope that there'll be NUS students going with me. Maybe because I am reading too many news articles about those awful crimes and have been watching too much of Criminal Minds and CSIs, I feel myself feeling more and more timid when I grow older. Sigh sigh. I miss the old impulsive me.
Back at home now, breathing the fresh air (for some reason Boon Lay seems to be more badly hit by the haze than Bishan? Bishan is still the best.) and resting while waiting for the time to pass. Grandma fell again yesterday and she's undergoing quite a major operation now cos she injured the same leg twice and this time round not only the knee cap is affected, her upper thigh's bone cracked. I really hope she can be as strong-willed as the previous time and recover soon! Heard from my mum that my grandma seems really sad this time round. Can't wait for 6pm now...
