First full day in Amsterdam is very memorable. It's probably the main highlight of this trip - Zaanse Schans.
We stayed at Meininger Hotel Amsterdam which is very near to the Sloterdijk Station, 10 mins from Amsterdam Centraal. It's more like a hostel. It's very clean and the shower facilities are great but the bed is extremely small and as usual, noisy bunkmates.
We spent some time trying to figure out how to buy the tickets to Zaanse Schans and woosh.. off we go.

It's super gloomy, windy and brr... cold. Autumn has its beauty too.
I tend to get distracted by these little creatures. The hen follow her rooster everywhere. It's super cute.
There are actually people living here. I remember seeing a family unloading their grocery. What would I give to live in such a beautiful place with vast amount of land and greens...

I really really enjoyed Zaanse Schans. I really hope to come back in spring one day and lay in a field of tulips.
Back to the city centre! Definitely need a picture of this eventful place.

The waiter were teasing us by asking if we were texting each other because both of us are using our phones while eating and not talking to each other.
