Castle of São Jorge

Back from a long tiring day of slopes and uploaded the photos while painting my nails. We are heading to the beach tomorrow! Can't wait!:D

Met Po and Weiyi to tour the city today since it is the first weekend we are here and obviously we don't have lessons!:D We must act tourists even though we have to live here for 4 to 5 months...

First stop - Santini! It's an ice cream parlour and it's always crowded every time I walked pass there. Only went in and have my first cone cos Po says it's really good!

I chose the Gorgonzola com Nozes and Marabunta since they are the only two flavors without proper english translation. Haha. And it was realllllly good!

After that we resumed walking stairs/ slopes.

It's funny how these pigeons are perching on the wall.

Smart pigeons under the shades.

More stairs:O

Really huge mailbox. It even sells stamps on the other side. Most 'high-tech' mailbox I have seen in Europe so far. I miss Singapore's SAM machines!

Worth all the climbing for this view!:')

Lisbon Tuk Tuk! They are called Tuk Tuk here too! Not kidding!

Finally... Castle of São Jorge!

Paranomic view of Lisbon.

View from higher up!

To be honest, we were so disappointed that the castle was empty. They are simply ruins:( But I guess we were paying for the really good view. We can only comfort ourselves by imagining what the soldiers were doing in the castle in the past. Haha. For example shooting arrows from this crevice.

Came across the excavation of the ruins of Lisbon Roman Theatre while walking back down.

Took a bus/tram looking transport (15E) to Belem to have the best Portuguese egg tart in Lisbon by Pastéis de Belém and they are really the best! They are sooooo good. They are on another level all together from what we have tasted so far. Even though Belem is freaking far from the city centre, I guess I will be returning there very often. I only took away 4 and ate two straight after I bought it. The guys combed down 3 consecutively!

The pipping hot egg tart. So crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Drools.

The guys on their 3rd egg tarts!

Had Sangria and dinner at a nearby restaurant. Wanted to have cod but they are all sold out. Haven't tried Lisbon's famous cod!
