Prague Day 1 - 16 Aug 2013

Prague. A romantic and beautiful city.

Arrived in Prague early in the morning after a long bus ride and were greeted with a really wonderful airbnb equipped with a Samsung SMART TV, washing machine, nice toilet and a coffee machine!

After doing our laundry and washing up we make our way to the city centre to find food!

Their public toilets! You will have to slot in money to get in.

Narodi Museum

I find it amusing how these kind of fountains are always filled with pigeons.

The name of the guy buried underneath

Lunch at Tripadvisor recommended Ferdinanda!

Best beef goulash with dumplings ever (this is also the start of eating dumplings in Eastern Europe)!

Chicken with some light sauce and cheese.

This meal kept us nodding our head. Great start to Prague:)

Spotted an Asian restaurant nearby...

Prague famous astronomical clock

Guess what? We were so forgetful that we forgot to wait for the little dwarfs to pop out of the windows :(

Wedding shot!

We see this dessert everywhere! But didn't have a chance to try it.

Finally reaching Karlov Most (Charles Bridge) after all the walking!

Weiqi's idea of a candid shot. Hahaha. Here is me with my mediocre pistachio ice cream (nothing beats Fragola).

View from Karlov Most:

Prague buskers are the best. We have never found better after Prague. I miss Prague!

Prague has the most number of tourists in a small area I have ever seen. To be honest, I was really overwhelmed.

Spotted kim kim eh Porsche after we crossed the bridge:

Which actually looks quite cheap...

Slopes!

Climbing up to Hradčany. Slopes everywhere...

Prague!

When you don't zoom in, it's a constant battle with the trees.

We made it up the slopes!

The guard actually smiled for the photo!

&& The magnificient St Vitus Church!

It's almost impossible to take a full length photo of it as there is a building in front of the church. Talk about their landscaping again.

And so... tourists have to resort to these:

Inside the St Vitus Church!

Inside the palace

The other side of St Vitus church.

St George's Basilica

The boyfriend was telling me about a church with a thief's hand hanging somewhere. I thought it's St George's (the photo below) but turns out to be St. Jacob's which we didn't go.

Spotted a wedding shot outside St Vitus when we were leaving the compound. Everyone were stopping for it.

Poor little doggie that belong to the couple.

The bride was really confident and were even showing off her huge diamond ring to the public. But I guess you'll have to be really rich to get married here.

Her choice of gown probably reflects her personality very well...

As we loitered around outside the Hradcany, we see more weddings going on in the the small little churches nearby...

She has my dream wedding gown. Haha.

Many seems to be foreigners getting married in the small churches just by themselves with few to zero family and friends present. It's nice to get married in such a beautiful place but ah... not quite likely for Chinese families.

My camera died after that but we mainly spent our evening enjoying all the wonderful performance by the buskers on Karlov Most as we walk back and had dinner at Tri Stoleti recommended by the boyfriend. I miss Prague!

Prague Day II next!
