Giving Lisbon another chance

Back with a Lisbon post. Decided to tour Lisbon yesterday after seeing the positive weather forecast. Skipped Sintra and went to Belém instead for awesome egg tarts and sunset since we started the day late. First time in a long time that I woke up at 11am. Churned out the previous post and here we go...

Praca do Comercio

I walked pass this view so many times and this is the first time that I actually stop to take a photo of it.

The famous Tram 28 of Lisboa.

So... here is where the people go on Sundays. Shops are mostly closed on Sunday except for those in Colombo. Sunday is a family day.

Downtown (Baixa)

Vasco da Gama Bridge

Lisbon tuktuk.

Our plan was to take 15E tram to go Belém for egg tarts and sunset but... it broke down and crippled the whole tram line. The Carris car parked at the front of the tram to stop the traffic. Tram system is such a horror when one tram breaks down. Decided to take bus 714 instead!

Here is a happy Weiyi with his awesome haircut. I still thought I could have a good laugh after his haircut but apparently no. Haha.

Greeted with mega long queue outside the famous Pastéis de Belém after a bumpy ride.

The Unesco awarded Torre de Belém.

It's under restoration work and we had to put our cameras through the grids to take photos of it. It's yet another Unesco empty building. Haha. At least it's really pretty. Just not majestic.

Memorial aos Combatentes da Guerra do Ultramar

This is the moment when we found the correct moment to take a sunset shot (the red skies) and quickly make our way to the other sunset spot.

Was pleasantly surprised to have found this place. It's like the MBS waterfront :)

Weiyi was walking too fast and I was running behind and taking the last few minutes of the reddish sky. Chasing after sunset again.

3 important attractions of Lisbon.

The last red sky shot I managed to get. The red sky is gone when Weiyi started to mount this camera on the tripod. Fail. Haha. This is the perfect sunset spot. Will definitely come back again!

Enjoying my Portuguese egg tarts while waiting for photographer chua to do all the long exposures

Best dinner in Lisbon so far even though there were so much hidden costs. Haha.
